SILKY CLOUD DOUGH INGREDIENTS
You will need the following ingredients to make Cloud Dough:
1/2 cup of shaving cream or lotion (shaving cream not foam)
1 cup of cornstarch
A few drops of food dye or paint (optional)
A few drops of your favorite scent (optional)
Clay Sprinkles (optional)
You will also need a bowl/container and something to mix the ingredients
HOW TO MAKE SILKY CLOUD DOUGH RECIPE STEP BY STEP
Step 1: Add shaving cream to a bowl.
I am using this EOS Shave Cream but you can use a thick lotion if you can not find this or if you do not have this Shaving Cream.
I always say this and I will say it again, make sure you like the scent of whatever products you are using in your cloud dough recipes. The products you use will dictate what your end result will smell like.
Other things that work well in cloud dough recipes if you do not have shaving cream are lotions, conditioners, and even toothpaste. If you want to see how to make Cloud Dough using lotion instead of shaving cream, you can check out my post here.
Step 2: If you are adding food dye and/or scent to your cloud dough, now is the time to do that.
Step 3: Once dye and scent are added, mix until fully combined and incorporated into the shaving cream.
Step 4: Add cornstarch to the cream mixture. This step takes a few minutes of mixing before the dough starts to form and turn into Cloud Dough.
Once all the ingredients are fully mixed, you should be able to roll your dough into a ball.
Go ahead and add some sprinkles and glitter to fancy up your cloud dough.
HOW TO MAINTAIN AND STORE YOUR CLOUD DOUGH
Cloud Dough can last for quite some time if properly cared for before and after play.
You always want to make sure to wash your hands before and after playing with your Cloud Dough.
Play with your cloud dough only on clean surfaces.
Always store your cloud dough in a clean airtight container.
If your dough starts to get dry you can add a splash of water or shaving cream.
If your dough starts to get wet and sticky, try adding a little bit more cornstarch.
