This 12-pack of aprons comes in pretty Rainbow Colors and can help keep all the slime chef’s at your party nice and slime free!
If I were planning a slime party, I would pre-make a big batch of Clear Slime about a week ahead. Then I would divide the slimes up into these deli containers in the number of party guests you are planning to have. That way, the clear slime is Clear and bubble-free in time for the party and the guests can decorate however they like.
In case you are not familiar with how clear slime works, after mixing and activating clear slime it appears foggy with bubbles in it. After about a week, the bubbles rise and the slime clears.
If this sounds like something you would like to do, I have a Big Batch Clear Slime Video Tutorial for you to check out! Try my clear slime recipe, you will not be disappointed!
Clear Glues I recommend using are the quart size Elmer’s glue (has to be quart size, for some reason the gallons end up with a yellow tint to them), Gallon Glue from AmazonBasics, or Maddie Rae’s Slime Clear Glue.
When it comes to white glue-based slimes for your party, you can use a gallon or half a gallon of glue and then pour out about a cup of the glue into a cup or container for each of your guests.
Otherwise, you can get individual glue bottles for each of your guests and you can avoid the extra work of having to portion out the glue. I recommend getting glue bottles like these.
These glue bottles are 4oz or 1/2 cup each and would work perfectly for a slime party. I have many tutorials on my youtube channel you can follow to make amazing slime!
In addition to decorating clear slimes, I would make a Butter Slime (white glue based) and a Cloud Slime (white glue based). I have included video tutorials for both of these below.
In order to make Cloud Slime, you need to get some Snowonder Fake Snow. Directions to activate the snow are on the bag. You can activate and add water to it before it is added to the slime, or you can add it to your slimes dry.
I prefer to add the snow dry but your partygoers will love adding water to this and watching it grow. Make sure to add a few drops of food dye to the dry powder before adding water for an extra special show!
Snowonder added to white glue-based slimes will create a Cloud Creme or Cloud Slime texture. If added to a clear-based slime, you will end up with an Icee or Jelly texture.
Cloud slimes are very popular and a little more work to make, but I guarantee your party will be an even bigger hit if you include this extra special slime-making activity 🙂
Butter slimes are super simple to make. All you need to do is add clay to your already-made basic slimes.
The type of clay you use will determine the final texture of your slime. I recommend Daiso Clay for a more airy butter slime. Model Magic can be used to make a more dense butter slime.
My favorite type of clay to use right now for my butter slimes is clay from Kawaii Slime Company. Her clays create a nice little sizzle I know your party guests will love.
Let’s talk activators. Slime needs to be activated in order to actually turn into slime. There are a few ways to do this. My favorite way to activate slime is to use borax powder dissolved in water.
Most slime shop owners would agree that this is the best and only way they activate their slimes. If you do not feel comfortable mixing up a batch of borax dissolved in water, you can use the saline solution method or one of the pre-made activators currently on the market.
If you are ok with dissolving borax in water, this is how I like to prepare it.
It might be cute to pre-mix the activator in a container like this so the party guests can easily activate it and not have to worry about mixing the activator. If you do go with this idea, please use caution and label the container making sure no one mistakes it for a drink.
Another cute idea for the activator would be to get something like these mini spray bottles and have them pre-filled with activator before the party guests arrive.
Pre-mix a large batch of activator and then pour into these mini bottles and you are all set! I personally feel like these bottles are best to be used if you need a little spray for sticky slime once the slime is already activated but they can work well to activate small batches of slime as well.
If you do not want to use straight-up borax powder dissolved in water, this saline method may be for you!
I do like the way my slimes turn out with the saline method but some people complain that their slimes turn hard the next day.
As with any activation method, less is more. It is really important to work your activator into the slime as your slime will continue to activate even after you have stopped adding the activator.
If after working the activator in for a bit and your slime still feels sticky, then add a little more of your activator and continue to massage.
The last way I recommend you activate your slime is by using a store-bought slime activator. Store-bought activators get the job done but I would like to make note that this is my least favorite way to activate slime.
Amazon sells this Slime Activator that currently has pretty good reviews. You can find out more here.
Elmer’s makes this Magical Liquid. It is also available in a variety of scents too. You can find out more here.
Set up a table with various types of slime bases, and provide a range of mix-ins like glitter, beads, foam balls, and sequins. Don’t forget to offer different colors and scents to let your guests get creative and customize their own unique slimes.
The sampling of products below are sure to be a hit for any slime party. These slime add-ins can be added to pretty much any type of slime you make. Click on the picture to learn more or to purchase.
These Rainbow Sprinkle Containers are the perfect add-in for all your slimes. I love that this is a set of four, perfect for sharing and placing on different parts of the slime-making station.
It is no secret, I love glitter! I have used many different types of Hemway Glitter products and have never been disappointed. They have pretty much every color variety you could ever want.
I really love Maddie Rae Pearl Pigment set. The only suggestion I would make here is that a little goes a long way!
This “crunchy” snow will create a snow fizz-type slime if added to either a clear or white glue base.
I love Maddie Rae Slime Glues Food Dyes because they are not clumpy like some of the other food dyes on the market. These are my go-to food dyes for all my satisfying videos.
Slime scents are always a fun add-in to offer at a slime party! Just make sure only a few drops are added and follow the directions! Too much scent can actually ruin your slimes.
Everyone will love Squishing one of these floam balls into their slimes! My favorite is to take fresh clear slime and mix these into it. The ending result is amazing and has a super crunch that is so satisfying!
In addition to slime-making and decorating, plan some engaging slime-themed games and activities to keep the party energy high.
You could have a slime stretching contest, a slime drizzle contest, or even a blindfolded rate the slime challenge. Small prizes can be awarded like mini slime kits or slime-themed stickers and bracelets to the winners.
Don’t forget to include some slime-themed snacks and refreshments to satisfy your guests’ appetites.
Consider serving “slime punch” (green-colored punch), slime-shaped cookies, or even a make-your-own edible slime-themed dessert bar with toppings like edible glitter and gummy candies.
You’re well on your way to hosting a memorable and fun-filled event.
I hope you found some of this information helpful! I know that we have covered a lot in this post and preparing for any party can be overwhelming.
Please feel free to ask any questions you still may have! I am happy to help in any way I can. Love you all! Until next time!
