2 INGREDIENT CLOUD DOUGH INGREDIENTS

You will need the following ingredients to make Cloud Dough:

1/2 cup of lotion

1 cup of cornstarch or baby powder

Food coloring/dye (optional)

You will also need a bowl/container and something to mix the ingredients

HOW TO MAKE 2-INGREDIENT CLOUD DOUGH RECIPE STEP BY STEP

Step 1: It really does not matter what order you add the ingredients to your bowl but I like to start by adding my lotion.

I have used plenty of different types of lotions for this and they all worked fine. I tend to prefer a thicker lotion for this dough but thin lotions work just as well. If you have a scented lotion you love, then I say use that!

What if you do not have lotion? Can you use something else? I have had great success also using hair conditioner to make this cloud dough. If you want to see how to make Cloud Dough using Hair Conditioner instead of lotion, check out my post here.

Step 2: This step is optional but if you plan to add some hue or color to your cloud dough, you will want to add that now. I have used everything from food dye, to paint to liquid watercolors and they have all worked just fine.

Step 3: Now comes the fun part. Time to mix the cornstarch into the lotion.

This process can take a little bit of time to get the right consistency. Start with a little bit of the recommended cornstarch, mixing until fully incorporated, and then continue adding more.

The final texture should be smooth and creamy to the touch. If your dough has a wet-to-the-touch and sticky feel after you have added all the cornstarch, try sprinkling in just a little more cornstarch to see if that helps.

If the dough is crumbly and falling apart, try adding a little more lotion. Continue massaging the dough until the desired texture is reached.

That is really all there is to it. Now you have a wonderful sensory dough that will keep you occupied for hours! I could not get more simple than this.

HOW TO MAINTAIN AND STORE YOUR CLOUD DOUGH

Make sure to wash your hands before and after playing with your Cloud Dough.

Always store your CLOUD DOUGH in a clean airtight container.

If your dough starts to get dry you can add a little lotion. A splash of water can do the trick too.

If your dough starts to get wet and sticky, try adding a little bit more cornstarch.
